SYOG Seminar

SYOG - Singapore Youth Olympics
I am privilege to be selected as one of the champions to champion the whole CEP program to the athletes of various countries who will be participating in the YOG this coming August. Which means, I can go to the game for FREE and roam around the Olympics Village in NTU.
My time at the seminar was an eye opener. I got to meet many different people from different country. Young Ambassador & CEP Champions will get to do activities together and learn each other’s culture and appreciating them.
The one that I looked forward the most was the Dinner @ Fairmont “Chef De Mission”, where we got to meet all the people in the “High Places”. We got to meet the Chef De Mission of all the represented countries and “sell” them CEP ( Cultural Education Programs), to promote the values of Olympics (Respect, Friendships, Excellence). We also got to meet our very own DPM Mr Teo Chee Hean & Dr Vivien Bala Krisnan. Of course the President of IOC (International Olympic Committee) Mr Jacques Rogges.
I was assigned to sit with the Chef of Canada, and it was an great time talking and learning of each other countries. Had a little talk of “politics” and it was amazing how God pull me through to speak! *Phew*
The overall experiences was awesome. I guess this is really a once in a life time thing and I am very honored and privilege to be a part of all these (Seeing the media, meeting BIG SHOTS etc..) More than one all these thing, my whole focus was to shine for Christ! Who can compare with the King of Kings Himself and I can have a personal relationship with Him and He know me by name!
One of the highlight which I felt the most fulfilling in my time spent there was I manage to share the gospel with a cambodian scholar & a Mathematician Genius. I manage to share about Eternity & Life after death with them. I knew God was with me all these time when I began to share. Because both of them responded to my personal testimony of the transforming work of God’s love. Though I didn’t manage to lead them to receive Jesus, but I know the seed have been planted. I will never know who they will become in the future, or where will they be. But I pray these seeds will take roots and grow.
Something that I took home with me throughout the whole seminar; we need to impact my generation the next generation. We need to raise up a holy generation who will put up the banner of righteousness, walking and living the godly values and principles. The future of these nations is really determined by our generation. If our ministers and future leaders are for the sub-culture, warp values etc, we need to raise up more of them who will stand for righteousness.
There are a lot more work to do people who are involve in youth ministry! Do not confine just to grow in numbers, but raise up a standard in your youth ministry to live that life and walk the way that Jesus walked. It is time to raise up the Daniels and the 3 friends, and the 7000 who will not bow but stand for righteousness.
Living for Him!
